With this demonstration guide you will create a polished newsletter—complete with multiple columns, graphics, and charts. Next you'll see how easy it is to work with a customer database and produce a mailing using Avery labels. You'll finish by reviewing a To-Do list and then viewing an on screen slide presentation. It’s easy! And it will only take about 10-20 minutes.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
You’ll need a Macintosh that meets the following system requirements:
• At least 1MB of RAM memory (2MB for System 7)
• Hard disk drive with 1.5MB of storage available
• System software 6.0.5 or later, or System 7
INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THE DEMONSTRATION
In addition to this READ ME! file, you will find a file named "ClarisWorks 2.0 Demo.sit" on your floppy disk. This file automatically produces a folder on your hard disk called "ClarisWorks 2.0 Demonstration". The folder contains the ClarisWorks demonstration program and several other supporting files.
To install the demonstration:
(1) Double click on the "ClarisWorks 2.0 Demo.sit" file.
(2) Click on "Continue".
(3) Make sure your hard disk is selected as the destination for the demonstration
folder.
(4) Click on "Save".
(5) When you see the message "Installation Successful", click on "Quit".
You've now installed the demonstration!
To begin the demonstration:
(1) Double click on the "ClarisWorks 2.0 Demonstration" folder to view its contents.
(2) Double click on the "ClarisWorks 2.0 Demo" application icon.
(3) Open the "PRINT ME!" file by selecting Open... from the File menu, and double clicking
on "PRINT ME!".
(4) Print the "PRINT ME!" file by using the Print... command under the File menu.
(5) Follow the instructions provided in the "PRINT ME!" file.
